Gullkistan, residency for creative people, welcomes guests of all fields of art and academic professions.
During winter we provide five rooms in a farmhouse 1 km from the village of Laugarvatn in south Iceland. 70 km from Reykjavík. Situated on the Golden Circle where you find Geysir, Gullfoss and the Thingvellir national park. From the farm there is a beatiful view towards Mt. Hekla over lakes and farmland.
During winter you will enjoy the northern lights, the long nights and maybe some snow. On december 22nd the day starts to get longer, 5 minutes each day.
Working space is in a renovated barn house. There is a wireless internet connection at the farm.
In Laugarvatn there is an outside swimming pool, grocery shop and restaurants.
Minimum stay is usually one month.
